Art Nouveau Bohemian Glass Biscuit Jar
The color on this antique piece is just beautiful—the purple threads skillfully strewn over beautiful amethyst and green overshot glass. This amazing biscuit/preserves jar is attributed to Pallme-Konig, an Austrian glass manufacturer that was founded in 1786. We suspect this piece to be from the 1910s.
The metal rim has the ostrich mark for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (you can call them WMF, a German manufacturer specializing in Art Nouveau styles) on the side near the handle.
Base is 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" / 9.5cm x 9.5cm
5 3/4" tall / 14.6cm
3 3/4" drop from handle / 9.5cm
3 7/8" lid diameter / 9.8cm
It is also possible this piece could be Kralik, another Bohemian glass manufacturer
