Mid Mod Eisch Bowl Vase
The cobalt rim on this piece is so striking! It would add such a cool dimension to a mid-century home. The satin stretch glass gleams in such a beautiful way and the shape is super unusual! It very reminds me of Danish modern decor.
This great pedestal bowl was created by one of the founders of the mid-century glass art movement in Europe. Mr. Eisch was a good friend of Harvey Littleton, who was one if the fathers of the American art glass movement.
The piece stands 4.5" high, 4" across at widest part of cobalt rim, and the foot is 3" across (11.5cm x 10.15cm x 7.75cm). It has some cabinet wear to the base but no chips, cracks or repairs.
The Eisch signature is acid etched on base. Be sure to check out the fantastic article about Mr. Eisch at the Corning Museum of Glass website!
