Squash Blossom Necklace with Turquoise and Barber Half Dollars
This is such an exceptional piece, a beautiful addition to your collection. The 12 early 20th-century Barber half dollars (ranging from 1902-1915) make a statemtent among fluted hollow beads, and a dramatic geometric pendant with a turquoise cab finishes off this substantial and stunning piece.
Weight: 210 grams / 7.4 oz
Length: 26" / 66cm
This piece is currently strung on a very heavy cable. There are a few minor bends in the cable so you may ultimately decide to restring the piece on something with a little more drape, as is often traditional - but it feels very sturdy and wearable as-is.
The piece is in very nice condition - it has the patina and wear you'd expect from an old squash blossom, but it's lovely and complete.
Please note: the distribution of pyrite flecks in the turquoise suggests that the piece may have had some cracks filled with a resin containing particles of other minerals. We've included a close-up as the final photo for your perusal. (It's a super lovely piece and a beautiful shade of matrix turquoise, we just want to make sure you get all the details before purchasing!
This piece will ship with insurance and signature confirmation.
